Jim Epolito - 21st Century Jobs Fund Update

LANSING - Jim Epolito, CEO of the Michigan Economic Development Corp., discusses the final phases of the 2008 21st Century Jobs Fund, a program that will provide $30 million in financing to 15 or so promising technology companies in Michigan. About 50 are left after the final cut, but only two in alternative energy, a new business sector identified by Gov. Jennifer Granholm as vital to Michigan's economic future. Epolito also talks about what tools the MEDC needs to win the economic development wars with much better financed competitors, like Texas.
