Crayon Wins Award For Cell Phone-Based Keyless Car Entry, Security System

HOLLAND - Crayon Interface, the latest member of GLIMAWest, won best in show at the Digital Life Expo in New York City for its new aftermarket vehicle Telematics products called CellStart. CellSTART allows users to monitor and control their vehicles - including remote start, keyless entry and security systems - from graphical interface software downloaded over the air to cell phones.

The new product turns ordinary cell phones into key fobs and provides monitoring and control capabilities of vehicles from anywhere cellular coverage exists. CellSTART was developed by Crayon Interface and the in-vehicle hardware is manufactured by JBS Technologies out of Steubenville, Ohio. The product will hit store shelves nationwide on November 1st.

Crayon Interface also exhibited other mobile applications for remote home control – including lighting, door locks and temperature control - at the Digital Life Expo. Both CellSTART and the various home applications are developed off Crayon Interface’s Moshi wireless platform.

Moshi consists of software downloaded to cell phones and a nationwide data network that dispatches messages between users and various devices and databases. Crayon Interface is building several applications off its Moshi wireless platform including applications for homes, vehicles, industrial controls, banking, logistics, retail.
