Momentum Showcases 4 Startups - Products Of 12-Week Bootcamp

| GRAND RAPIDS - The West Michigan private equity finance group called Momentum, founded by Rick DeVos, showcased its latest batch of start-ups on July 26 at its 2nd annual Demo Day. Each company had participated in a 12-week bootcamp and received $20,000 in funding.
The four companies include:JaiPlace.Com, an online marketplace for all your wellness and sustainability needs. JaiPlace brings together information, community, goods and services that represent personal and planetary wellness. JaiPlace serves as a trust agent for not only products that are authentic to this lifestyle, but also local businesses and service providers as well.
VarsityNewsNetwork.Com is a network of high school sports blogs. Using resources available in each school and aggregating the content, the company says it will create a scalable system of relevant news and local information about high school sports.
LearningInterfaces.Com
develops, licenses and hosts web-based social e-textbooks for higher education. Founded by thought leaders in the fields of digital media and learning product to interactive and collaborative learning experience rooted in multiplayer role-playing, data analytics and personalized reading.
TerraPerks.Com recognizes individuals for their environmentally responsible behavior. Its first service, Energy Flair, recognizes residential utility customers for their reductions in energy consumption at home.
