Midwest Technology Leaders Connects IT Leaders, Benefits Foundation

| DETROIT - 2010 marks the sixth year for the Midwest Technology Leaders Symposium, which gathers the Midwest's top information executives - CIOs and senior level IT Executives to the MGM Grand Detroit on May 26.
MTL provides a platform to recognize achievements in the Midwest IT community in a non-political cross-industry event. Attendees will take part in peer-to-peer idea-sharing, motivational keynote presentations and unmatched networking opportunities.
"The theme this year is it’s a time for creativity and innovation," said Tracy Ann Palmer, president of event promoter Arzika. "It is absolutely critical for any IT leader to be innovative and creative with what is going on in this economy. This conference gives these IT leaders an opportunity to not only learn best practices, but connect with other IT leaders from other industries who are doing amazing, innovative things, not only with their customers, but also within their own organizations."

Following the conference will be the Premier Awards, and Cocktail Party presented by Oracle. The awards will honor those dedicated to the collaboration and commitment to the Michigan community. The reception brings together CIOs and leaders in business, government, academics and a who’s who of the Michigan community for a night of high profile networking.
The reception will be held from 6 – 9 pm, tickets are $65. Proceeds benefit the Michigan Council of Women in Technology Foundation.
"At our cocktail reception we're expecting 450 people, business leaders, entrepreneurs, the Venture Capital community, technology community," Palmer said. "We're hosting it in both the ballroom and the foyer. All of our tech companies will have their exhibits up. We’ll also do the keynote speech and awards ceremony in the ballroom."
