500 College Students To Attend Extreme Entrepreneurship Tour March 30
|
|
GRAND RAPIDS - More than 500 students interested in entrepreneurship learned from some of the country's top young entrepreneurs about what drives and motivates entrepreneurs, and how they can take their own ideas and turn them into business opportunities during a half-day, high-energy conference March 30 at Grand Valley State University.
GVSU's Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation hosted a stop of the national Extreme Entrepreneurship Tour on March 30. During the event, entrepreneurial-minded high school and college students from around the region heard keynote speakers, attended small workshops and speed-networking sessions, and met successful regional and global entrepreneurs.
The event is organized by the Collegiate Entrepreneurs Network of West Michigan and targets individuals interested in launching their own business.
The Extreme Entrepreneurship Tour was launched in 2006 by co-founders Michael Simmons and Sheena Lindahl. It has now visited more than 120 organizations.
