About Michigan InfraGard

DETROIT - Michigan InfraGard is a Public-Private Partnership for professional networking and mutual aid. In the Michigan InfraGard Members Alliance Chapter, you will find an amazing breadth and depth of resources led by a diverse set of knowledgeable experts whom you can access to help solve your business problems and plan the future of your enterprise. You will meet people from industry, government and academia at our members meetings. You can anticipate their cooperation later, in confidence and with privacy. It is the people of InfraGard that make it work.

Michigan InfraGard brings you face-to-face with regional expertise, while connecting you to the resources of the FBI and DHS. Through the FBI, members have access to information that is not available to the general public, from intelligence base encompassing multiple government agencies, national, and global sources.

Michigan InfraGard is a resource for education and awareness. Monthly meetings with expert speakers provide an opportunity to identify crosscutting issues about all critical infrastructures which include telecommunications, energy, banking and finance, transportation, water systems and emergency services, both governmental and private.

The leaders of the Michigan InfraGard are convinced that secure business systems will come only from the balancing of physical, operational and information security. This balance and planning to achieve it, is the cornerstone of our meeting's initiatives. InfraGard complements and extends the reach of other, already successful, private organizations (ASIS, ISSA, ISACA, etc.), carrying their leadership and sound practices to a wider regional audience.

Michigan InfraGard is part of a secure, private reporting system. InfraGard members across the nation are linked to each other and to the FBI by the Bureau's secure "alert network." Companies can anonymously report incidents to all other members without fear of publicizing their vulnerability. The FBI provides encryption software developed to protect information exchange among members.
